Preventive Conservation & Risk Management

"Prevention is better than cure!"

This phrase also applies to Cultural Heritage, as a restoration will not be necessary if we take care correctly of our artworks.

Preventive conservation involves all measures and actions to avoid and minimise future deterioration or loss of cultural objects.

For instance, it's crucial to ensure suitable conditioning for storing or exhibiting works of art, guarantee climate control and monitoring, and create secure environments to avoid risks.

Our approach is based on risk management, which considers the value and significance of cultural objects in relation to the quantification and prioritisation of the various possible risks.

Because the list of risks is rather long, and we often don't imagine all that may arise that can cause the often irreversible alteration and deterioration of our cultural objects, it might be good to consult us to be sure that you are storing or displaying your artwork in the best way possible.
